Computers unit 8

What is a computer?
A computer is a programmable machine designed to sequentially and automatically carry out a sequence of arithmetic or logical operations. The particular sequence of operations can be changed readily, allowing the computer to solve more than one kind of problem. Conventionally a computer consists of some form of memory for data storage, at least one element that carries out arithmetic and logic operations, and a sequencing and control element that can change the order of operations based on the information that is stored. Peripheral devices allow information to be entered from external source, and allow the results of operations to be sent out.

Computers are a very important part of our lives. They tell us about delays to transport. Did you know that 60% of homes in Britain have got a PC?

the smart home is now a real possibility. It become very common. Many homes have got lots of televisions and several computers. The smart home will provide TV and Internet sockets in every room so you'll be able to do what you want wherever you want.
If the temperature outside changes, the smart home will adujust temperature levels inside. It's fantastic!!!

In a survey, 44 per cent of young people between 11 and 16 said their PC was a trusted friend. 20% said they were happier at their computer than spending time with family of friends. In conclusion, the computers are great and very interesting.
